Searching out local markets and antique shops is a joy and occasionally an obsession.

For as long as I remember travelling always involved them.  Some of my most indelible travel memories involve driving through country France and making stops for village antique shops.  Or visiting Istanbul and going to the Grand Bazaar.

I am carrying on this tradition with gusto.  My first flat was located near the intersection of Portobello Road and Golborne Road in London.  Whereas, most first time buyers would fill their homes with flat-pack I filled mine with market finds and one or two IKEA hacks!   Luckily woodworking and the practical skills I learnt from my Father and sewing skills learnt from my Mother took care of everything else.  As a young flat owner opting to work in creative industries I did not have the level of income to afford London tradespeople.  So armed with creativity and general building skills I was able to transform my dated flat and its little garden.

I am still seeking out interesting finds and creating on a shoe-string and Atelier is where that story is told.   Where I show what inspires me and what I create.
